Here is the snowman I just made. He is 5ft tall (quite impressive considering how small my back garden is) and is named John Merrick because he is so deformed. He has a hand spade for a nose, dirt for eyes and broken china for teeth. He also has garden canes for arms (see http://www.flickr.com/photos/cheesebrush/4203908563/). He was originally going to be bigger until I realised there was now way I could lift the middle snowball onto of the first one the size I originally made it, so it had to be pruned down to make it more manageable (and even then I could only just lift it).
The hill outside my house is pretty chaotic. People keep trying to drive up it and failing. Several cars have been abandoned including a van that was smashed into. There was even a Beadle and Crome lorry that tried to get up! He spent ages trying to put bits of furniture packing cardboard under his wheels before giving up!
My next door neighbour, a former Nepalese Gurkha, is out there trying to get people to turn round and digging them out with a shovel when they fail. You`d have thought they`d listen to him, after all if anyone is going to know about digging things out of the snow it`s a Gurkha from Nepal!
The local chavs have got bored of throwing snowballs at cars and have moved onto playing chicken in front of vehicles sliding down the hill. I really can`t wait for one of them to slip over and for it to all go horribly wrong so I can go outside and laugh at them.
